We'll never know the extent to which Trump's idiocy about injecting bleach into the lungs caused people to do stupid things. What we do know for certain is that a lot of people have done a lot of stupid things since the start of the pandemic. And also, we know for certain that Trump didn't help to prevent any of this stupidity.
Yesterday, the CDC released a report on misuse of household cleaning products such as bleach as a response to the pandemic. The results were disheartening:
